Just a quick post as I’ve just stumbled upon an article about D’Espresso coffee shop in New York. This gorgeous, fun design is by nemaworkshop, a team of architects and designers based in Manhattan. The scheme is inspired by the nearby New York Public Library only with a twist, the whole space on it’s side!
The floor, ceiling and two of the walls are covered in tiles printed with books to resemble a rooms four walls. Another wall has been clad with wood flooring, while the other with illuminated glass panels to give the effect of ceiling tiles. The pendant lighting even sticks out from the wall rather than from the ceiling!
So this place is incredibly themed, but I love the way it’s been done! If you do too, check out nemaworkshop to see more of their cool concepts.
